Campus House

We’re a campus ministry here at ETSU. The Campus House (also known as the Christian Student Fellowship) is a community of college students reaching out to college students. We operate out of a brick house on the Historic Tree Streets, right across from ETSU’s parking services on the corner of University Pkwy & Pine St. We have free weekly meals, worship gatherings, small groups, events, retreats, and tons of other random fun stuff going on to help you develop meaningful relationships. We’re ready to be your new home away from home – a place where you can eat, a place you can hang out & build solid friendships, a place where you can deepen your faith, wrestle through what you believe, or just come learn about Jesus if you’re curious.

ETCHA

East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy is a ministry dedicated to “Growing Girls God’s Way.”

We exist to provide a Christ-centered ministry to help at-risk adolescent girls and their families in need of respite and/or reprieve.

ETCHA offers hope by giving a safe home with kindhearted, Christian house parents and staff; through nationally recognized biblically based academics; and through learning about what Christ can bring to life! ETCHA receives no state funding and depends on gifts from generous donors to make the ministry successful.

Four Oaks Nursey Home of Jonesborough

We host a church service at Four Oaks Nursing Home on Thursday evenings every other week with songs, sermonettes, and communion. We are the only church that provides communion to the residents. The residents look forward to this and really enjoy the time of worship and fellowship with us. We also adopt some of the residents during the Christmas season to provide gifts for them.

Central Christian Jail Ministry

Central Christian Church started the Jail Ministry in late 2010/early 2011. We currently go into Washington County and Unicoi County Jails to minster to the inmates. We minster to male and female inmates in these facilities. We provide a short bible study, either directly from the bible or a workbook study. We take prayer requests from the inmates and forward these to our church family to be praying for their needs. We encourage our church family to send cards or letters of encouragement to the inmates. As part of the jail ministry, we provide bibles for the jails to pass out to the inmates upon request. We encourage the inmates to come worship with our church upon their release. By doing this we have had a few of them come to worship with us and attend on a regular basis. As you get the prayer requests weekly, please take a few minutes and pray for them. Most ask for prayer for upcoming court dates and their families.

JAMA

JAMA (Jonesborough Area Ministerial Association) is an organization comprised of the ministers from several local churches. The primary purpose of JAMA is to operate the Food Pantry. It operates within the Wetlands Water Park area in a facility donated by the Town of Jonesborough. Serving the western portion of Washington County, the pantry is open every Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to noon except on holidays. The pantry is available to anyone residing in the required area who needs help with food due to their financial situation whether it be temporary or long term.

The pantry is supported primarily by several congregations within the Jonesborough area. The board consists of the ministers of those congregations. Financial support is also received from individuals and businesses within the area as well as various fundraisers held throughout the year.

Servants for Life

This is for Tom and Libby Fife.  Tom and Libby were life-long missionaries.  Robert Fife (Bridges for Life) is their son.  Tom and Libby attended here for many years. Unfortunately, Tom went to be with Lord in 2020. Libby still lives in the Gray; TN area. We still help supplement Libby’s retirement income

Summit Leadership

Summit Leadership serves our region by working to raise the effectiveness of leaders. Believing that “Better Leaders Equals Stronger Communities” Summit works with 26 area business owners, 50 area non-profit organizations, and 38 area churches to help connect the right leaders with the right resources. Through their platforms of Connecting, Consulting, Coaching and Caring, Summit works to serve those who are serving others by helping to make sure they have what they need to be at their best.

The ministry takes its name from the story in Exodus 17 where the Israelites are being attacked by the Amalekites. Moses then goes to the Summit of a hill, along with Aaron and Hur, and holds the staff of God above his head during the battle. As long as the staff is held above his head Israel prevailed in the battle, but whenever he lowered his arms, the Amalekites prevailed. In his own strength Moses would be unable to accomplish this task. It is at this point Aaron and Hur took a stone and put it under Moses for him to sit down and they held his hands up – one on one side, one on the other – and together they accomplished the task and Israel prevailed in the battle.

Summit sees itself as Aaron and Hur… the support system to help Moses- type leaders in our community to accomplish the vision given to them by God
