Evangelism
Team Leaders – Bob Roberson and John Livingston
Purpose: To share the gospel of Jesus Christ with non-members and with new residents.
Primary Goals:
- Develop an outreach program to evangelize the surrounding community.
- Promote outreach programs that share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Teach Disciples of Christ to effectively share their witness.
Girlfriends
God Loves Our Women
Team Leaders – Debbie Roberson / Cheryl Hanson
Girlfriends is a women’s group that meets in various members homes for a time of fellowship. Some of the ministries of Girlfriends are college care baskets for teens who have graduated and gone away to college, showers for weddings and births, coordinating ladies craft nights, promoting special ladies’ night out events and decorating the church for holidays and special events.
Missions
Team Leader – Bob Roberson
Purpose: To “go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).
Primary Goals:
- Establish, oversee, and operate the mission’s program of Central Christian Church.
- Educate and involve the members of the church in the mission’s program.
- Give 20 % of the church budget to missions.
Property
Team Leaders – John Livingston & Donnie Bassinger
Purpose: To oversee the proper maintenance and repair of property owned by the church.
Primary Goal: To ensure that needs are taken care of and to always maintain the church and grounds in good repair.
Shepherding
Team Leader – Rosalind Holycross
Purpose: This team is established to provide help to those with
emergencies. This would cover such things as setting up a meal train,
visitations in the hospital, sending cards, etc., for church members who
need temporary help.
Primary Goals:
1. Provide support to church members needing temporary assistance
2. Provide meals for members recovering from medical
emergencies, deaths of an immediate family member or other
circumstances where temporary assistance would be a blessing
3. Sending cards/letters to those who have experienced loss or who
are ill
Stewardship
Team Leader – Rob Love
Purpose: To teach and develop stewardship of life.
Primary Goals:
- Develop a Godly Character
- Teach how to be truly content
- Teach how to make truly lasting investments.
The Stewardship Ministry Team oversees the church budget and reports on all monies spent.
Worship
Team Leader – Shelly Mangiacotti
Purpose: To offer to God the Devotion, gratitude, praise, and honor justly due our Creator and Savior.
Primary Goals:
- To do the six parts of worship: praise, prayer, nourishment, offering, message, and fellowship.
- To worship on the Lord’s Day and in our lives during the week and to do both the best we can.
This team promotes spiritual development of members, assists with communion preparation, fellowship receptions, and helps the Sr. Minister and Worship minister plan for special events.
Youth Ministry Team
Team Leader – John Livingston
Purpose: To offer a safe and encouraging environment for our 7th grade through Twelve grade students.
This team assists the Youth Minister in developing and coordinating all youth programs and special events. They help define the goals and objectives of the youth ministry. They act as chaperones on trips and help teach in the teen Sunday School program.
Discipleship
Team Leader – Bob Gibson
Purpose: To make mature Christ followers of adult attendees.
Primary Goals:
- Develop a vibrant Small Group Ministry for adults.
- Develop the adult discipleship program.
- This Team evaluates curriculum and recruits and trains adult small group leaders and encourages small group participation by congregation.
